Australia's World Surf League leader Tyler Wright has copped a world title quest setback, knocked out of the Fiji Pro in the second round by Hawaiian wildcard Bethany Hamilton.
In a high-scoring final, Wright was beaten 16.10 to 14.9 by Hamilton.
Trailing until late, Hamilton - who only has one arm due to a shark attack when she was 13 in 2003 - produced a whopping 9.0 ride with four turns to win the round.
Wright was forced into a second-round elimination battle on Sunday after being beaten by fellow Australian Nikki van Dijk.
The 22-year-old Wright had won three of the opening four events on the tour this year, including two in Australia, on the Gold Coast and Margaret River.
Australia's Keely Andrew was also eliminated in the second round in Fiji, losing to South Africa's Bianca Buitendag.
